Hancock County Line: The John McCown Story Podcast

In development, Hancock County Line: The John McCown Story is a limited podcast series that explores the takeover of Hancock County, located in central Georgia. The story, set in the early 1970s, is about John McCown, a broke and out-of-work community activist determined to liberate the predominately Black county from the White power elite and give it back to the people...or does he? This story is filled with intrigue and controversy and involves a current and future President of the United States, armed sieges, and a federal investigation. Was John McCown a hero for the people or a self-centered, power-hungry demigod? This series will help to answer that question and many more.
